Every year, the beginning of June is pretty exciting. Why? Firstly, it’s almost summer, secondly the yearly food festival is happening in Wroclaw. And who does not appreciate the good flavours of Europe. So diverse and flavorsome.
This European feast took place for the first time on June 4, 2009 – when Wrocław celebrated the anniversary of the first free elections.
Wrocławans liked this way of celebrating so much that the event was permanently present in the city’s calendar.
The event is under the patronage of Robert Makłowicz– the culinary face of Poland. I personally like him a lot, he is funny, knows a lot about cooking and looks like a real food lover.
This year’s celebration is kind of special – we will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of Poland’s presence in the European Union. I personally think that this has been an opening door to my travelling experiences and I’m really grateful for it.
The culinary feast of Wroclaw will start on Wednesday, May 29, and will last until Sunday, June 2.
Saturday, June 1, is the main day of the festival.
