We all noticed that the weather is truly dosappointing these days. I even found myself reminiscing about the everyday sea view and plenty of sunshine we were lucky to have back in Sydney. BUT! I also found myself dreaming of some quick getaway into the Polish mountain resort nearby. That’s doable.
Sometimes we just don’t feel like driving 6-8h to the Polish Baltic Sea just to drive into the wall of rain and sadness. The weather is unpredictable everywhere, but God! Polish weather is driving me nuts already.
Today, I will tell you more about my 2 favourite Mountain Hotels in Karpacz perfect for the summer getaway. One is down the bottom of the mountains and the other one up the top.
OSADA SNIEZKA – Lomnica near Karpacz
This place is like a small village located near Karpacz with a beautiful view on the Karkonosze mountains. There are hotel apartments in the main building and apartments in separate cottages all around. We usually take the cottage unit with a kitchenette and a fireplace (that’s useful for winter stays). Beds are big and comfy, units fresh and clean. The main building has got an indoor swimming pool with a hot tub and small pool for kids. My boy loves the elephant water slide there. There are saunas and a SPA centre with a great choice of relaxing treatments for your body.
What’s really important for me is the entertainment for my child and Osada Sniezka has got that – outdoor playgrounds, sand pit, Family Fun Center, which features billiards, table tennis, darts, air hockey, a playstation game console, a ball pit and a kids’ corner. The ball pit is my son’s favourite.
If you are looking for some sport activities to fill up your time with, hire the bicycle or Nordic sticks and explore the nearby surroundings. Or put on your bikini and jump into the outdoor pool, they’ve got 2.
I love going back to that place. The days are fulfilled with kids activities but evenings are mine. When I put my son to sleep, and nana stays on guard, I head down to the hot tub and sauna or get myself a nice Spa treatment, then a quick mojito in the bar to finish off the day or my summer getaway. Love Life!

KAMIENCZYK – Karpacz Gorny – up the top.
This is NOT a 5* hotel but it’s the cutest little hotel in Karpacz Gorny. I fell in love with it the day we walked in. Kamienczyk is located at an altitude of 830m above sea level, which is already the reason why it’s so special. The magnificent views of the Jeleniogórska Valley, Karkonosze and Rudawy Janowickie are breathtaking and calming, and it is a truly excellent starting point to your mountain adventures.
The hotel offers 1,2,3,4-5 persons rooms of different standards and pricing. The serve fantastic delicious polish food to their guests, you have an option of 2 or 3 meals a day.
Free WIFI and Free Parking.
The owner of the place is a beautiful lady named Zosia, and she made our stay a perfect getaway. I was there with my friend, the main goal of our summer getaway was to climb Sniezka, and we got so many useful tips from her – she is a local, has lived in the area all her life and there is nothing more interesting than residents’ stories about the town. Absolutely adorable woman.
They have a good relation with a local guide and ski instructor, so possible discounts for the guests.
The ski lift is just 50m away and the famous Aquapark TROPICANA at the Gołębiewski Hotel just 300m away. The bus stop, Wang Temple, grocery stores, restaurants are all walking distance from the hotel.
What’s great about the hotel is that they love pets, so it is not a problem for them to bring them along.
I really recommend this place if you want to be close to nature and admire the picturesque views of the mountains.
